Facebook is making me lazy. I seem to only be blogging sessions. I used to share tips, personal stories, and all kinds of stuff, but with the wonders of Facebook I've been posting these types of things there and then referring to the blog to show off photos from sessions.

So if you'd be so kind to like my Facebook page here, I'll stop feeling guilty about my laziness and effort to not duplicate what I have on Facebook and the blog.

I ventured out into the heat for this picture a few days ago and quickly decided one shot was enough. Enjoy! :)

Contest time - free session anyone?

It's nice to be liked. And there's nothing more I'd like than being more liked on Facebook. So I decided to throw a contest out there.

It's simple. Ask people to "Like" my page. Easiest way to do that is to just put this link in your FB status asking them to go there and hit the Like button so that you can win .....

More details:

• Contest starts now and ends at 11:59 pm on 4/15. So while you're avoiding doing your taxes, you can distract yourself with this contest. 
• You have to keep track of your friends. I probably don't know them, so keep yourself a list and be honest. :)  Email me your list on or by 4/17 please so I can announce the winner ASAP. 
• In case of a tie, my daughter Whitney will draw the winning name out of a hat.
• The family session fee and online hosting of your proofs is free, but if you want a CD of proofs with a print release, that's $150. Prints through me and my professional lab are at an additional cost.
• Not a family? A family session can be substituted with a newborn, senior, or an engagement session. If a 2011 wedding client wins, they may choose to recieve a $150 print credit instead.
• The session needs to be completed in the St. Louis metro area by Nov. 15, 2011. An extra fee is applied for a session outside this area.

We're moving!

The office (and my whole entire house) is moving this week, so please be patient with me on return phone calls and emails. :) My internet will be down on Wednesday, but back up running by the end of the week. I'll be living out of boxes for a little while so I appreciate your patience!

I'd add a picture of what it looks like to have your office in complete disarray admist moving, but it just ain't pretty. But pictures of the "new and improved" office will be posted once I'm back up to speed. I'm very excited to show you what I've done with the place!

Updated website - oh yeah!

It's that one thing that's been lingering on my To-Do list since January and I finally got to scratch it off today. I even got out the big, thick Sharpie to do the scratchin'. Oh yes, my website has finally been updated with 2009 photos.

It's really no fun picking among all my clients and fearing I'm going to forget that oh-so-special one. Because every last session is special to me in some way. And deleting "old" photos?! Oh I shudder! Yes, I stress over photo selection and not actually shooting a wedding. Weird, I know.

I decided that from here on out I'll be adding photos each session (or month?) instead of the beginning of the year to keep things fresh and of course to avoid the stress.
