I knew her as Becky when we met a good twenty years ago. Although a couple of years younger than me, Becky and I knew each other from the days of high school theater. Some of my very best friends are from those days. The memory that jumps out to me most was when we were both trying out for the role of Ado Annie in the musical "Oklahoma". Oooh, I thought I nailed my audition when ole Becky comes strolling in and belts it out like she owned it. I was devastated. But as luck would have it for me, I was a senior, she was a sophomore, and I got the role. This was high school afterall, not the mean streets of NYC. Which as it turns out, is where Becky spent a good 10+ years doing what us theater geeks dreamed of doing.
Along the way in NYC Rebecca bumped into a guy she'd gone to college with. A guy perfectly suited for her. The same wit, the same charm, those same theater genes. That's Patrick. And now, they're back to their hometown of St. Louis to build there lives here on familar turf. Together.

I love when a couple takes the time to see each other before the wedding.

LOTS of laughter that day.

Especially after some geese decided to fly by and honk their approval right after a reading ...

Rebecca and Patrick are just awesome.

Thank you Rebecca & Patrick for sharing your day with me and setting up a little reunion with some old friends. :) It was a true honor to be a part of it all.
