I chuckled when I started this post. The Moeller Family.
Bill is one of my husband Alex's college friends from the Mizzou days. But he's one of those college buddies he's stayed in touch with over the past 15 years. Not someone you just bump into at Homecoming games and what not. I met Bill when I was dating Alex. Hell, we even traveled together to NYC for their college friend's wedding. If you can travel with someone, much less stay in the same hotel room and remain friends, you will be friends for life. Bill became my friend that weekend.
Alex always told me that Bill saw the glass as half empty. Okay Alex used more pointed words, but you get the gist. And then one day Bill pretty much became a different person. He met Maeghan. And when I met Maeghan I saw why. The yin had met his yang. Maeghan's smart, tall :), endearing, real, and damn stylish.
They got married in April of 2007 and I will never forget their rehearsal dinner. Towards the end of the evening friends and family from both sides gave a toast, a story, or words of advice to the happy couple. It was one of the most moving, uplifting wedding experiences I've ever had. Coming from a wedding photographer, that's saying a lot. They were simply surrounded by love. And that glass was more than half full. That sucker was overflowing.
Over the last couple of years they've added a girl named Maeve and a boy named Liam to their family. And I had the honor of photographing them.
Since Maeghan is co-owner of the Clayton boutique Lusso, my expectations were high in terms of outfits. Boy they sure did not dissappoint. Even without the darling ensembles, this is the amazingness I had to deal with. Those doe eyes and that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt mouth!
:)
Oh little Liam. You just want to curl right up next to him.
Thank you my friends Maeghan & Bill for sharing your little ones with me. It really was a privlige to photograph this time in your lives. In fact it makes me chuckle AND smile. :)
